PRICING

Front Porch Design uses a variable fee structure based on the project needs.  The amount of work required to model and generate plans/drawings will vary with specific project scope, location (geographic and property siting), design and modelling. 

 

HOW TO GET A QUICK QUOTE

To obtain a quick quote please fill out the contact form and you will receive a response within 48 hours.  Please note the fee rate may change if key pieces of information or design requirements are not fully gathered at this stage.  Once an in person consultation is complete, then the rate will be confirmed and solidified.  Once solidified  the price will remain unchanged up to the the time of completion and product delivery. 

 

WHAT IS INCLUDED

All design packages include an initial as well as ongoing design consultation to ensure product specificity and that project needs are met.   All packages include a full set of project relevant drawings/plans for building permit acquisition (may not be necessary for some renovation or interior design projects) as well as construction/renovation.  In projects where a building permit is required, the price includes any revisions that directly pertain to the acquisition of the building permit (All design packages adhere to both the Canadian, provincial and local building codes, however at times certain permit review inspectors may request additional information about a project, or for the information to be displayed in a specific manner on the drawings/plans).

 

WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED

Any client requested revisions made after the design process has been completed and the drawings/plans have been delivered.  Such revisions will be subject to an hourly rate.   

 

ADDITIONAL COSTS

SITE VISITS OUTSIDE OF SERVICE AREA - Site visits (if deemed necessary) outside of Service Area (>100km from Bridgewater, NS, will be subject to a fee)

ENGINEERING ON SPECIALIZED STRUCTURAL COMPONENTS - Sometimes a customer requests specialized structural components (e.g. a hewn structural beam or re-purposed barn beams to be used as floor joists etc.) that fall outside of relevant building codes.  If such elements require an engineered stamp on the specific design  element, then an additional engineering fee would be incurred.
